School Council
We have a thriving School Council, with two representatives from every class.
The School council meets fortnightly to discuss issues that both pupils and staff have highlighted. The school council is important to pupils, therefore we have a Chair and Secretary from Year Six, who are responsible for chairing and minuting each meeting.
Issues discussed during Spring Term 2008
- The viability of a homework room for pupils to use during lunchtimes - This will start twice weekly in April
- How to encourage pupils to choose healthy options in their lunchboxes - This is an ongoing project with more input during the Summer Term
- Choosing a design for the School Council logo from the entrants in a recent competition - Molly McDermott won the competition and we are now waiting to have her design scanned onto our headed paper
- Simplifying the School Aims to make them child-friendly - This is an ongoing project with more input during the Summer Term
